3D Walkthrough Price in India 2026: Rates by Length and Project Type
Last updated: 14 October 2026
The 3D walkthrough price in India starts at about Rs 10,000 to Rs 30,000 for a one-minute walkthrough of a simple flat, according to published rate cards from Indian studios. A walkthrough for an apartment tower, commercial complex or township usually costs Rs 50,000 to Rs 2,00,000 or more. Photorealistic, export-grade work is often quoted in US dollars: one Ahmedabad studio lists USD 2,500 to USD 5,000 for a mid-level 1 to 2 minute animation.
Prices vary this much because a “3D walkthrough” can mean a 30-second room fly-through or a three-minute cinematic film of a 20-acre township. This guide shows published Indian rates, what pushes the price up, and how builders and dealers can get value from the video once it is made.

3D walkthrough price in India by length
OrangeIT Solutions, a Lucknow studio, published these ranges in April 2026:
| Length | Typical price |
|---|---|
| 30 seconds | Rs 5,000 to Rs 15,000 |
| 1 minute | Rs 10,000 to Rs 30,000 |
| 2 to 3 minutes | Rs 25,000 to Rs 75,000 |
| 5 minutes or more | Rs 50,000 and up |
These are entry and mid-market prices. They fit simple residential interiors and small projects. Larger projects with landscaping, amenities and many units cost more per minute.
3D walkthrough price by project type
The same studio breaks prices down by what is being shown:
| Project | Typical price |
|---|---|
| 2 BHK flat | Rs 10,000 to Rs 20,000 |
| 3 BHK flat | Rs 15,000 to Rs 30,000 |
| Independent house | Rs 20,000 to Rs 40,000 |
| Luxury villa | Rs 40,000 to Rs 75,000 and up |
| Apartment building | Rs 50,000 to Rs 1,00,000 |
| Commercial complex | Rs 75,000 to Rs 1,50,000 |
| Township or large project | Rs 1,00,000 to Rs 2,00,000 and up |
The premium tier: photorealistic animation
At the top end, studios price in dollars and per second. VizKingdom, an Ahmedabad studio, lists these tiers for India in its October 2025 guide:
| Tier | Length | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Basic animation | 60 seconds | USD 1,800 to USD 2,500 |
| Mid-level detail | 1 to 2 minutes | USD 2,500 to USD 5,000 |
| High-end photorealistic | 2 to 4 minutes | USD 5,500 to USD 9,000 |
Global studios such as Maverick Frame put walkthrough animation at about USD 50 to USD 200 per second of finished video in 2026. Most Punjab and Haryana projects do not need that tier, but a large launch aimed at NRI buyers sometimes does.

What pushes the price up
When two quotes for the “same” walkthrough differ by three times, one of these is usually the reason:
- Length. Every second is many rendered frames. Doubling the length nearly doubles the work.
- Realism. Real-world materials, lighting, people, cars and plants take longer to build and render.
- Exterior plus interiors. A tower exterior and a sample flat interior are two scenes, not one.
- Landscaping and amenities. Clubhouse, pool and gardens each need their own modelling.
- Revisions. Ask how many rounds are included. Changing a facade after rendering is expensive.
- Extras. Voiceover, licensed music, logo animation, drone footage of the real site, and short cut-downs for Reels.
- Inputs. If your architect hands over clean CAD drawings and material specs, the studio spends less time guessing.
Where a walkthrough earns its cost
A walkthrough is only worth its price if people see it. The places it works hardest are:
- Meta and Instagram ads. A 15 to 30 second cut-down shows space and flow in a way a static render cannot. Our guide to Instagram ads cost for real estate covers what it costs to put it in front of buyers.
- The landing page. A walkthrough above the enquiry form keeps people on the page. See our notes on the real estate landing page.
- WhatsApp follow-up. Sending a short walkthrough after the first call gives the buyer something to share with family.
- The site office. On a large screen, it explains phases that are still a bare plot.
- Pre-launch. It lets you show the project before the first slab, once RERA registration is in place. See real estate pre-launch marketing.
Order the cut-downs with the main video. A 2-minute film is too long for an ad, and asking for 15-second and 30-second versions later usually costs more.

Keep the renders honest
A walkthrough is an advertisement under RERA. Section 11(2) requires every ad for a registered project to show the RERA registration number and the Authority’s website. If a buyer suffers loss because of an incorrect statement in an advertisement or prospectus, Section 12 lets them seek compensation. So the video should match the sanctioned plans: no extra floors, no amenities that are not approved. Adding the RERA number on the end card and a line such as “artist’s impression” on renders is good practice. Our guide to RERA advertising rules has the full checklist.
Questions to ask before you pay
- How many seconds of finished video, and how many scenes?
- Exterior only, or a sample flat interior too?
- How many revision rounds, and what counts as a revision?
- Are voiceover and music included and licensed for ads?
- Will you deliver 15-second, 30-second and vertical 9:16 cuts?
- Who owns the 3D model and the raw files after delivery?
- What is the delivery date, and what happens if it slips?

Walkthrough renders vs real site footage
A 3D walkthrough does its best work before there is anything to film: pre-launch, early construction and phases that are still a bare plot. Once towers rise, buyers start asking to see the real site. At that stage, short phone or drone videos of actual progress, the sample flat and the approach road build more trust than another render.
The strongest campaigns mix both. Use the walkthrough to show what the finished project will look like, and real footage to prove it is being built. Plan for both in the budget: the walkthrough is a one-time cost, while site videos need a monthly shoot. If you only have money for one this quarter, pick based on stage. Before the first slab, the walkthrough. After it, real footage every month.

The short version
The 3D walkthrough price in India ranges from about Rs 10,000 a minute for a simple flat to Rs 2 lakh and more for a township, with photorealistic work quoted in dollars.
