The free profile is an easy step to skip. It takes a few minutes in the Truecaller app, and it stops your number showing as an unknown caller to people who have Truecaller installed.
What the paid Truecaller Business price buys
Truecaller announced its current plan structure on 8 May 2024. In its press release, it described two plans:
- Growth Plan. For early and mid-size companies that want to build trust and brand visibility through the Verified Business Caller ID.
- Enterprise Plan. For large businesses with many products, departments or regions, with deeper integration, call personalisation APIs and advanced reporting.
Truecaller said the revised pricing applies to new and existing customers on renewal or upgrade. It also said more than 2,500 businesses in 37 countries were using the solution at that time.
Truecaller does not publish rupee prices on its website. Software directories such as Software Advice list a starting price of about US$205 a month, usage based. Resellers in India sell it too, often bundled with their own calling software. Treat any figure you see online as a starting point and get the actual quote in writing.
Why a real estate business would pay for it
Real estate runs on phone calls. A portal lead, a Facebook lead form or a WhatsApp enquiry almost always ends in a call. Three problems show up again and again:
- Unknown numbers do not get picked up. A buyer who enquired on four projects gets calls from four unknown numbers.
- Spam labels stick. After a few weeks of calling, Truecaller users may start marking a sales number as spam. Once enough people do it, everyone sees the warning.
- Callbacks go to the wrong place. A buyer who misses your call sees a number, not a name, and does not call back.
A verified business name and logo answer all three. The buyer sees “ABC Developers” with a green badge instead of a 10-digit number.
When the Truecaller Business price is worth paying
Do the maths with your own numbers. Say your team calls 600 fresh leads a month and 40% pick up. If showing a verified business name lifts that to 50%, you speak to 60 more people a month. If 1 in 20 conversations becomes a site visit, that is 3 extra visits a month.
Now compare the cost of those 3 visits with what you already pay for a visit through ads or portals. If a site visit normally costs you Rs 2,000 to Rs 3,000 in ad spend, 3 extra visits are worth Rs 6,000 to Rs 9,000 a month. These are illustrative numbers. Measure your own pickup rate for a month before and after.
The rule of thumb that follows:
- Pay if you run a tele-calling team, a builder sales office or a busy brokerage making hundreds of calls a month.
- Do not pay yet if you are a one-person dealer making 10 to 20 calls a day. Use the free profile, keep your number clean and focus on calling leads fast.

Truecaller verification will not fix a bad calling process. Start with these:

- Message before you call. A short WhatsApp message with your name and the project they enquired about makes the call expected.
